How to determine if the Quilt Core filling is sufficient?

Nov 07, 2025 ------ Exhibition Information

1. Weight vs. Volume Comparison:

Weigh the filling weight (g/m²) per square meter of fabric using an electronic scale and compare it to the recommended range in the product specification manual. If the actual weight falls within the recommended range, the filling is considered adequate.

2. Hand Feel Test:

In a well-lit environment, gently press the quilt core to feel its resilience and evenness. Properly filled Quilt Core will quickly return to its original shape after compression, with no obvious dents or bulges on the surface.

3. Light Transmission Observation:

Lay the Quilt Core flat under a strong light and observe for obvious bright spots or dark areas. Evenly filled cores transmit light uniformly; dark areas or bright spots often indicate insufficient or excessive filling.

4. Professional Instrument Testing:

For large orders, a laser thickness gauge or ultrasonic probe can be used to accurately measure the core thickness and density, ensuring consistent filling weight for each batch.
